You cannot know the great joy and life changing year it has been for me thanks to Celtic Woman. You were all just periodic entertainment until this year when God decided I needed a new path. I had given up on music until I heard one of your pieces on late night talk radio between segments. Then Mairead broke the stone from my heart, and Lisa sang me to sleep one night. At 0325 April 15th I wrote my first song lyric. I'm now up to nearly 200. I have been trying to find someone in Ireland who will set them to music without success. I've been to 5 concerts this year including the Christmas concert in Dublin. It has been a year of faith and trust in The Lord, and one filled with beauty like I've never known. Orlagh, you are so much a part of that. I can't thank you enough for your beautiful voice and harp play. I even wrote a couple of pieces that you inspired. May God keep you safe, and bless all that you do. I look forward to perhaps meeting you at my first meet & greets in the spring.

I discovered the lovely and oh-so-talented ladies of Celtic Woman only a little over a year ago, but what a most fantastic, wonderful and beautiful year it has been. I swear to you, dear Orlagh, I have heard more beauty and felt more joy in the past twelve months than I had in many, many, many years before it. There is no denying or downplaying Celtic Woman's part in that, and there is no minimizing or diminishing your contribution to that. Every note you sing and play, every gesture, every smile --your every movement, Orlagh-- communicates such passion and joy, such charm and grace, that we cannot help but to happily capitulate to both them and you. And, oh, as a songwriter once observed, what a sweet surrender!

In a few hours I will be flying to Minnesota to visit with my son and family (my two grandchildren) during Christmas. According to the forecast, for sure we will be enjoying a "white Christmas" like no others in the past. I am carrying with me--among other things-- Cuban black beans and Spanish Nougat but the most important: I will be taking a DVD of "A Christmas Celebration" of my admired Celtic Woman to add a beautiful ambience of Christmas to the season. And of course I will be thinking of you, my dear friend Orlagh, and wishing you in my heart much happiness and health for you and your family and that the next year 2008 be especially good to you. I also wish you and the girls a safe, successful and happy tour of this country. I hope you will come close to Miami so that I can go to see you!
